Terms of use
Last updated 29 July 2026. These terms cover the crinn.ie website and registering your interest. They are not a software agreement — Crinn isn't available yet, and buying it will come with its own contract.
The short version
- This is a website about software that isn't out yet. Crinn launches in the first quarter of 2027.
- Registering interest costs nothing and commits nobody. It isn't an order, a booking or a contract — you can walk away, and so can we.
- Q1 2027 is a target, not a promise, and what we describe here is what the product does today, not a guarantee of what it will contain at launch.
- The Crinn name, mark and this site are ours. Read them, share the link, don't pass them off as yours.
1. Who we are, and what these terms are
This website is operated by Alan O'Doherty, Ireland ("Crinn", "we", "us"). Crinn is run by Alan personally. You can reach us at hello@crinn.ie.
These terms govern your use of crinn.ie and its register-interest form. By using the site you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.
They do not govern the Crinn software. When Crinn launches, using it will require a separate customer agreement, and that agreement — not this page — will set out what we owe each other.
2. What this site is
This site is informational. It describes a product that runs today but is not finished, and is not yet on sale. Nothing on it is:
- an offer capable of acceptance, or a contract of any kind;
- a commitment to supply Crinn to you, on any date or at any price;
- professional, legal, compliance or safety advice.
In particular, references on this site to compliance, certificates, inspections and statutory renewals describe what the software helps you track. Meeting your legal obligations remains yours to do. Crinn is a tool, not a compliance guarantee, and we're not liable for a lapse in your own regulatory duties.
3. Dates and descriptions
We aim to launch Crinn in the first quarter of 2027. That's a genuine target based on where the build is, not a marketing number — but it is still a target. Development schedules move, and we'd rather ship a system that works than hit a date.
Features described on this site reflect the product as it stands. We may add, change or remove functionality before launch. Where we say something is planned or on the roadmap, that means exactly that — an intention, not a commitment, and you should not make a purchasing decision on the strength of it.
We keep this site accurate and honest, and we don't publish customers, testimonials, ratings or metrics we don't have. Even so, we don't warrant that every word is complete, current or error-free, and we may update the site at any time without notice.
4. Registering your interest
The register-interest form adds your name to a list of people we'll email about Crinn as it heads for launch. To be plain about what it is and isn't:
- It is free, and it creates no contract between us.
- It does not reserve a licence, a place, a price or a launch slot, and it gives you no priority right you could enforce.
- It puts you under no obligation to buy anything, ever.
- We may contact you about Crinn and its launch. We won't sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing — see the privacy notice.
- You can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing hello@crinn.ie.
- We may decline or remove a registration at our discretion — for example if it's obviously fake or automated.
Please give us details that are accurate and your own. Don't register someone else's email address without their say-so.
5. Acceptable use
You may read this site, print it, and link to it. You may not:
- submit false, misleading or third-party details through the form, or submit entries in bulk or by automated means;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting or any connected system, or probe or test its security without our written permission;
- interfere with the site's operation or availability, including by overloading it;
- scrape or harvest content or contact details for marketing or resale;
- use the site for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone's rights.
If you find a security problem, we'd genuinely like to know: hello@crinn.ie. Report it to us before disclosing it publicly and we'll work with you.
6. Intellectual property
The Crinn name, the Crinn ring mark and wordmark, and the text, layout, design and code of this site are owned by Alan O'Doherty or his licensors, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
You may view the site and share links to it. You may quote short extracts with attribution — for example in a review or an article. You may not copy the site's design or code for your own product, reproduce our branding, use our marks in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation, or frame the site inside another so it appears to be someone else's.
The Inter typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License. Other product names on this site — Windows and the like — belong to their respective owners and are used only to say what Crinn runs on.
7. Links to other sites
Where we link somewhere else, it's because we think it's useful. We don't control those sites, we're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link isn't an endorsement.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the site up, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or part of it — including taking it down entirely — without notice and without liability to you.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations that aren't expressly set out here, including any implied warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — this site, or your reliance on anything on it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If you're a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law, and you can rely on the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms. Short version: no cookies, no analytics, no trackers, and the only data we hold from this site is what you type into the form.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or the use of this site, are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
